In some lines of business, the business activity is dependent upon proof of tax compliance through the Certificate of Good Standing - CND or the Certificate of Bad Standing with the effects of a Good Standing Certificate. In the latter case, a debt exists but its collection is suspended.

For these companies in particular, as is the case with contractors hired by the Government, preventive work is essential to prevent that the absence of proof of tax compliance might keep the business from participating in biddings, conducting a real estate deal or a change in a partnership status.

The firm also advises and represents clients in dealings with government agencies for tax incentives and special arrangements for paying taxes.
